Our Past, Our Present & Our Future
A glowing light has already been kindled by our spiritual, and even physical forefathers, and the responsibility to carry the fire of truth now extends to us. The Lauru Supporting Ministry aim is to deliver the Gospel Commission with great gratitude and respect. We owe it not only to them (our Forefathers and Pioneers of the faith), but also to Christ Himself who gave us this Commission. Through this website, God has seated a world-wide audience that are in need to hear of a Loving Saviour who died for them and their sins. Through the portal of technology and God's Everlasting Grace, arises Warriors in Christ from Choiseul Province, who have the fire of Christ raging within their hearts, to save the wretched and sinners, and to tell the world about the love and saving Power of Jesus Christ. This is the work, this is the essence of the Gospel Commission. We aim to reach the whole world.
Our Organisation
Lauru Supporting Ministry is a non-profit organization formed on November 24, 2008 by some locals of Choiseul Province in Solomon Islands. It is a faith-based ministry that depends on the generosity of the members. The members are Seventh-Day Adventist Lay People of Choiseul Province in Solomon Islands. Members of the organization are those who specifically express their commitments in supporting the Mission and Vision of the organization. Members provide volunteer services in managing the organization.
The main purpose of the organization is to support the mission of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Choiseul Province, Solomon Islands. Choiseul Province is our 'Jerusalem', our local setting, before we go to the other parts of the world. The organization envisages to share resources and share how God works in the lives of the people of Choiseul Province, in Solomon Islands.
Our Vision
To see the character of Jesus Christ develop in the lives of the people of Choiseul Province, Solomon Islands and in the world.
Our Mission
To share the Gospel of Jesus Christ in Choiseul Province, Solomon Islands and throughout the world.
Our Messages
"God has called His church in this day, as He called ancient Israel, to stand as a light in the earth. By the mighty cleaver of truth, the messages of the first, second, and third angels, He has separated them from the churches and from the world to bring them into a sacred nearness to Himself. He has made them the depositaries of His law and has committed to them the great truths of prophecy for this time. Our Mission Strategies:
1. Empowering
- To organise Out-reach & In-reach Evangelism programs in Choiseul Province, Solomon Islands.
2. Resourcing
- To provide Christ-centred resources that will equip individuals for personal Bible studies and to share Jesus with others.
